Originally a private residence, the historic Cape Edwardian-style mansion features shaded verandas and terraced indigenous gardens overlooking the ocean. There are 13 individually decorated rooms and suites complemented by two ultra-modern villas.

Tucked away in the tranquil oasis of our world-class Spa, our two spacious Deluxe Spa Rooms are a peaceful hideaway surrounded by lush tropical plants. Décor is elegant and understated, a reflection of the Spa’s restful ambience.

The restaurant at Ellerman House is so much more than a hotel dining room. “It’s a fully-fledged restaurant experience in an exclusive, family-owned hotel setting,” explains Kieran.
Menus for lunch and dinner constantly evolve to match the ever-changing seasons and international culinary trends. Ranging from formal lunch and dinner menus, light tapas meals and tasting menus with wine pairings.

Guests are spoilt with the generous offering of dining areas available at Ellerman House. Settle into the elegant dining room, the John Meyer Room – our private dining area, one of the many terraces for al fresco dining, in-room dining or BAR ROC.

Bar Roc

A calm, contemporary space for friends to gather at the end of the day and chat about the incredible adventure they find themselves on. A space for the classic raconteur to wax lyrical about his or her African escapades. A space to say goodnight to another glorious day in the motherland while watching the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean. This is BAR ROC.
