The St. Regis Kanai, Riviera Maya is a paradise honoring the ancient Mayan civilization. Situated atop red mangrove trees, this architectural masterpiece is inspired by the unique shapes and colors of the surrounding landscape. The resort’s circular buildings imitate the Pleiades constellation – known as the celestial birthplace of the Mayans.
The 124 rooms and suites’ interior décor through its key design elements references Mayan art, the House of Astor traditions and the stunning nature of Riviera Maya. The guestrooms all have a spacious terrace, and several categories offer a private plunge pool. All rooms have the signature St. Regis Butler Service, boast ocean views and are at walking distance from the beach.
The St. Regis Kanai resort will have nine restaurants and bars, a 20,000-square-foot SPA and Wellness Center with 8 treatment rooms: seven pools, beach and pool day cabanas, a Children’s Club, and sophisticated function space for small events and large celebrations.

The St. Regis Kanai, Riviera Maya is a paradise basking on the secluded shores of a 620-acre nature reserve along Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Situated atop preserved red mangrove trees, the architectural masterpiece imitates the constellation Pleiades – known as the celestial birthplace of the Mayans. The ancient Mayan storytelling and folklore are brought to life throughout the resort. The layout of the Mayan calendar is represented through each of the resort’s circular buildings – each with a view facing the Caribbean Sea. Throughout the guestrooms, design elements draw inspiration from ceremonial garments made by the Maya peoples. The circular shapes and hanging mirrors and amenity shelves within the guestroom take inspiration from nearby cenotes. Green marble and fine woods imitate the ecosystem where the resort lays.
