Named in honor of Saint Christopher, patron of travelers, surfers, sailors and protector during long journeys, Hotel San Cristóbal sits on the beach on the southwestern edge of the Baja peninsula in Todos Santos, Mexico. Positioned along the Tropic of Cancer and framed by the Sierra de la Laguna mountains, Punta Lobos, and the Pacific Ocean, there is something about the quality of light here in this convergence of nature. It is a stop on the open road of Gray and Humpback whale migration and home to the stoic giant, the cardon cactus, as well as over 150 species of birds.
Local fishermen launch their small panga boats daily from the beach next to the hotel to harvest the sea’s bounty, and surprisingly abundant agriculture grows nearby. The cycles of the days and seasons, the sunrises, sunsets and tides, and the majesty of the night sky are the greatest amenities the hotel has to offer.
Hotel San Cristóbal consists of 32 rooms and suites situated around a central pool and lounge that were beautifully designed by architects Lake | Flato to complement the beauty of the surrounding nature. The intimate property is home to a restaurant and bar, as well as a library, a seaside mirador, and a small retail shop. Hotel San Cristobal welcomes guests ages 15 and over. The hotel has several spaces for celebrations and weddings from La Capilla, the hotel’s beautiful chapel and event hall, to the ruins of an antique abalone cannery at the east end of the property.

Each room at Hotel San Cristóbal is thoughtfully curated with Coco-Mat mattresses (handmade from natural fibers), Sferra linens, Tivoli radios, custom kimono robes, and Malin + Goetz bath products. If you need a bit more than the natural sea breeze in your room, there is air-conditioning and ceiling fans in all rooms. Dogs are always welcome.
Ocean Plunge Pool Suite
Pristine views of the Pacific Ocean and sunken outdoor tubs – for those who require more than one exquisite body of water. These spacious beachfront rooms have a handmade natural fiber king bed, a writing desk and ample interior and private outdoor space for relaxing. Bathrooms include both an indoor shower and outdoor soaking tub with privacy screen that open to the beach. All rooms are double occupancy. Several of these rooms may be adjoined to Sea Queens when traveling in a group. All rooms include a variety of amenities.

Sea Queen
For those occasions when sharing memories does not require sharing a bed, our Sea Queens have nearly 500 square feet of combined indoor and private outdoor lounge space with an uninhibited view of the Pacific Ocean. These rooms have two handmade, natural fiber queen beds, a writing desk, and a private shaded patio that opens to the beach. Some Sea Queens may be adjoined to Ocean King rooms when traveling in a group. Sea Queen rooms hold up to 4 guests. Thoughtful amenities complement the room’s greatest feature: the beauty of surrounding Punta Lobos.

Terrace Suite
Located above the hotel restaurant and indoor bar, the Ocean Suite offers stunning views of the pool and the ocean beyond from the second floor. These spacious rooms have an incredibly comfortable, handmade natural fiber king bed, interior lounge space and a large shared patio overlooking the pool and poolside lounge. These rooms, like all others, come with a variety of amenities. All rooms are double occupancy.

Mountain King
Mountain King rooms are located on the second floor, overlooking the Sierra de la Laguna mountains. These comfortable rooms have a handmade, natural fiber king bed, a writing desk, and lounge seating both inside and outside. Book rooms 54 and 55 together when available to enjoy the terrace privately, or ask for room 60 which enjoys access to a shared rooftop terrace. These rooms, like all others, include a variety of amenities.

Mountain Suite
The Mountain Suite offers a beautiful view of the sunrise over the Sierra De La Laguna mountain range. This large suite comes with a handmade, natural fiber king bed, a writing desk and ample indoor hangout space as well as a large private outdoor lounge and entertaining area – inquire about en-suite entertaining, yoga and spa possibilities. Located above La Capilla, the hotel’s chapel and event hall, the suite is perfect for those who are hosting events. All rooms include a variety of amenities.

Benno
Benno, the hotel’s restaurant and bar, offers a union of classic Mexican and Mediterranean cuisine, built on the diverse culinary abundance of Baja. Headed by Chef Dahli De La Peña, the restaurant is open to the public for dinner every day from 5-10 pm and for breakfast from 7-11 am daily.
As you explore Todos Santos and nearby communities, you will see the fishermen drive their panga boats onto the beach and pull in their daily haul, smell pungent basil in the night air and watch truckloads of strawberries, herbs and green beans being hauled from fields not far from the beach. The menu will focus on this incredible local bounty, variations on regional Mexican staples and other simply prepared, fresh foods. The wine program focuses on supporting vignerons that farm sustainably, with a special emphasis on organic and biodynamic wines. The selection spans Western Europe and the U.S. and includes some of the exceptional wines from within Mexico.
