Our story is very much our own to write. One Aldwych is one of the very few hotels in London (or indeed the world) that can say it is truly independent. This is our home, and everything we create and curate is for the delight of our guests in this singular beautiful building, at the centre of Covent Garden, London’s most exciting neighbourhood.

Stepping into our lobby is to step into a moment in history, dressed up in style. Built in 1905 as the home of The Morning Post newspaper, we like to think it still inspires spirited conversation and connection. Today, the building’s art nouveau curves and stylish flair sit easily with the modern luxuries of this contemporary, forward-thinking hotel.

Since the hotel’s inception in 1998, caring for people and the planet has been at the heart of operations, with responsible and thoughtful decisions playing an integral role in every aspect of the business, from the beehives on the roof to the chlorine-free swimming pool. This dedication resulted in the hotel becoming B Corp™ certified last year, the first and only five-star hotel in London to achieve this recognition.
