Protected by the Roman municipality and UNESCO listed, our hotel’s façade and monumental staircase have been restored back to their grand origins. Major renovation work has also gone into bringing back to its old splendor the façade of San Marcello al Corso Church, Six Senses Rome’s first project on sustainability and giving back to the local community.

Roman elements seamlessly blend with Patricia Urquiola’s contemporary design vision of the 96 guest rooms and suites of Six Senses Rome. Suspended plants, natural light and breezy, open atmosphere -- all contribute to the urban oasis feel of the spaces, a secret garden escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center.
Embellished by traditional cocciopesto plasters and locally sourced Travertine limestones, the interiors have been remodeled into a contemporary and airy style, with high ceilings, sustainable architecture, patterns and graphic elements throughout. Bespoke furniture completes the experience, with the usage of natural fabrics.
Consistent with LEED standards, sustainable materials have been used in the manufacture of finishes wherever possible, including flooring and millwork. Each room is not only stylish but also functional and responsible, as energy and water conservation play a key role in the overall design in respect with Six Senses ethos. Six Senses has developed an innovative approach to wellness, and this plays a pivotal role at all Six Senses resorts, hotels and spas, led by in-house experts and Visiting Practitioners. Whether high intensity or completely horizontal, the ultimate aim is that you greet each day not just ready to explore a city but to feel good with yourself.
The 770-square-meter Six Senses Spa includes everything you need to refresh and rejuvenate through contemporary therapies like bio-hacking that optimize your body’s natural processes via fast fixes that use smart tech. For a referential nod to the ancient art of Roman bathing, our three plunge pools reproduce the caldarium, tepidarium and frigidarium, boosting the wellness of the body by warming it up first and then cooling it down. Highlights include the bas-relief of Daphne’s laurel tree that embellishes the walls of the Roman baths area.
The Spa also features a Hamman area, meditation rooms, an outdoor yoga deck, fitness center and five treatment rooms (one for couples) for our signature Cocoon and Dreamcatcher massages, to mention a couple.

Modernity meets classicism in the heart of Rome
In Roman mythology, “genius loci” was a spirit that was said to guard a place. It is indefinable yet inherent in the hotel’s architecture and intention to serve as an urban oasis. The spaces, the finishes, the materials, and the art reinterpret Roman classicism and history into a contemporary vision and comfy place to stay.
In the 96 guest rooms and suites, the use of traditional cocciopesto plaster and Travertine limestone, the patterns, and the graphic design elements combine with suspended plants and natural light, focusing on well-being and a sense of conviviality and sustainability.
Classic
These cozy rooms feature a queen size bed and face either our own courtyard with a view of San Marcello Al Corso Church, or out onto the quintessentially Roman Via dell’Umilta. Neutral tones are accentuated by the natural texture of the traditional Roman wall cladding style of 'cocciopesto,' with local artworks giving each room a fresh and unexpected look.
Superior
These rooms feature a calming and contemporary décor with natural touches, complete with a king size bed and a comfortable sitting and reading area. Facing either the internal courtyard or out onto the cobbled Via Di San Marcello, some are accessible rooms so please ask when booking to make sure we accommodate you.
Deluxe
Our Deluxe rooms feature a comfy sitting and reading area with a day bed, king size bed or two twin beds with contemporary yet natural decor with some traditional Roman touches. They face either our internal courtyard, Via di San Marcello, or Via dell’Umiltà.
Superior Deluxe
Facing either our internal courtyard or offering a view of San Marcello church and beyond, our Superior Deluxe rooms feature a comfy sitting and reading area with a day bed, a king size bed or two twin beds with contemporary yet natural decor with some traditional Roman touches.
Junior Suite
Generously sized and contemporary in style, our Junior Suites have a studio layout. They stand out for the Travertine floor in rainbow hues contrasting with the cocciopesto and polychrome marble on the walls. They feature a comfy sitting and reading area with a day bed, and a cloud-comfy king size bed for a great night's sleep. Facing out to Via del Corso or cobbled Via dell’Umiltà, some of them come with a bathtub.
Deluxe Junior Suite
Located at one of the corners of our historical Palazzo, these light-filled Deluxe Junior Suites offer a great sense of space against the backdrop of traditional Roman architecture. They feature a reading area with a day bed, two twin beds and a large seating area for relaxation. Some come with a bathtub.
Deluxe Suite
Located at one of the corners of our historical Palazzo overlooking Via del Corso, Via dell’Umiltà or the courtyard, these suites feature a king bed and a separate living room with a daybed and dining area. Some come with a bathtub.
Terrace Junior Suite
Our Terrace Junior Suites offer a loft-style space complemented by a generously sized outdoor living area. They are located on the 3rd or 4th floors of the Palazzo, with views over the quintessentially Roman historical neighborhood. Inside, they feature a spacious sitting area with a day bed, plus a king size bed or two twin beds. There's a sofa and dining area for relaxing on the sun-filled terrace too.
Corner Suite
These generously sized suites offer a palatial feel with a king bed, separate living room with a daybed and dining area and a full bathroom with a bathtub and a shower booth. They boast a fabulous double view from their location on the corner of Piazza San Marcello and Via del Corso with some of them including views of Altare della Patria. Watch the world go by, relax and reconnect from the comfort of these suites through the beautiful historic bay windows or by sitting on integrated marble tricliunium, clearly referring to Roman times.
Suite Salviati
Characterized by a generous terrace surrounded by greenery and overlooking the internal courtyard, this unique suite features a big bedroom with a king bed, separate dining & living room with a daybed and a large bathroom with a niche that allows a private view of San Marcello Al Corso Church.
Two Bedroom Suite Mellini
Located on the third floor, this is the only suite with a media library and an indoor fireplace. Ideal for families, it features a full bathroom with a separate shower and a bathtub in the main room, a bathroom with a shower in the second room and a living room with daybed, dining area and washroom. Its double view is stunning: the side of the private terrace faces Piazza San Marcello, while the other side faces the buzzy internal courtyard featuring architect Ludovico Quaroni’s steel half-moon structure as well as the historical façade. Additional highlights include the kitchenette, where private dining with our crew of chefs can be booked.
Two Bedroom Suite Lata
Located on the fourth floor and adjacent to the right side of the façade of San Marcello Al Corso Church, this is the only suite to have a secondary access for service staff. Featuring a very extensive terrace and special antiques like chandeliers and armchairs, it has two king bedrooms. One bathroom has a separate shower and a bathtub while the other one has a shower. The spacious living area has a sofa, dining space and a kitchenette, where private dining with our crew of chefs can be booked.

A short walk along the airy gallery takes to the BIVIUM convivial area, where local tastes blend with international elements for an eclectic yet informal flair. Designed as a roaming dining & lifestyle space, this is the set of the bustling activity of Six Senses Rome where hotel guests as well as locals can experience the real Italian culinary tradition – one of the utmost expressions of art for Italians. First conceived by architect Ludovico Quaroni in the ‘50s, solid circular steel structures outline the interiors from the top and have been reinterpreted by Patricia Urquiola with a contemporary twist. The open kitchen takes center stage in the restaurant area where our skilled team of chefs entertain diners while creating mouth-watering recipes and experimenting with out-of-the-ordinary food combinations in tune with the season.
