The Shay opened in October 2021 as a new Destination Hotel by Hyatt adjacent to Santa Monica beach, Century City, Beverly Hills and a short commute to LAX. It is the only full service brand hotel in Culver City with a rooftop pool deck. 8,000 square feet of event space includes indoor and outdoor, a 3,550-square foot ballroom, 2,500-square foot adjacent courtyard, boardroom with outdoor gazebo, Terrace above Washington Blvd., etta restaurant, high-end Lobby Bar, game room with billiards table, and fitness center including Pelotons with both indoor and outdoor workout space. The guestrooms are tech-user friendly, and there is communal work space in the lobby and in The Box.
The hotel is well located with immediate access to the metro line connecting Culver City to DTLA and Santa Monica and a walkable neighborhood with a Main Street community of independent shops, galleries and restaurants.
