For the action-seekers, attention-getters and rabble-rousers, The Roxy Hotel New York and its surrounding neighborhood have long been a hub of creativity. Consider that steps away, in 1978, the Mudd Club was the nexus of the city’s underground music and art scene with a gallery curated by Keith Haring. The Talking Heads were performing at Tribeca’s Ocean Club. Then came the era of The Odeon, Keith McNally’s still-open dining destination, catering to the movie and financial people colonizing Soho and Tribeca’s lofts.
The Tribeca Grand was the first major hotel in an area home to boldface celebrities and a dynamic mix of restaurants, shops, financial institutions and thriving independent film companies. Envisioned by Soho Grand owners Leonard and Emanuel Stern to be a sister property, Tribeca Grand long thrived.
In 2015, it was time for a second act. The name “The Roxy Hotel New York” was born, a name with its own scintillating New York history. Evoking the spectacular 1920s movie theater and the legendary ‘90s dance club, The Roxy is an electric destination for music, film, and art. The guest rooms were fully renovated to give a wink to the past, yet are modern and uniquely “Roxy”. Roxy Deluxe King
The Roxy Deluxe King is exclusively located on our top two floors and includes a king bed with a brass-trimmed wooden headboard, mirrored built-in closets, a gilded regency inspired overhead light fixture, and hardwood floors. 300 sq. ft room with 9-foot ceilings and oversized windows offer sweeping views of downtown Manhattan. Room features include a Smeg refrigerator fully stocked gourmet minibar, Nespresso machine, Tivoli clock radio with bluetooth, and a Samsung smart TV with streaming capabilities.
Roxy King
The 290-square-foot Superior King room features a king bed, 9-foot ceilings, over-sized windows, a Samsung Smart TV, a built-in desk unit, custom-designed furnishings, a gourmet minibar, and luxury amenities.
Deluxe King
The 300-square-foot Deluxe King room features 9-foot ceilings and over-sized windows. Each Deluxe King room comfortably sleeps two, and features a Samsung Smart TV and Deluxe Tivoli Radio with Bluetooth, a built-in desk unit, custom-designed furnishings, a gourmet minibar, and luxury amenities.
Deluxe Double
The 310-square-foot Deluxe Double room sleeps four guests comfortably, with two double beds. Over-sized windows and 9-foot ceilings give each room extra height and lots of natural light. The 500-square-foot One Bedroom Suite has a separate living area with hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings and over-sized windows. The suites also have TEAC turntables with a custom curated vinyl collection, a Marshall speaker, Deluxe Tivoli Radio with Bluetooth, custom-designed furnishings, luxury amenities, a gourmet minibar, a Nespresso machine, and a full wet bar. With a custom sleeper sofa, the One Bedroom Suite can sleep up to four guests comfortably.
Deluxe One Bedroom Suite
The 605-square-foot Deluxe One Bedroom Suite features separate living and sleeping areas, 9-foot ceilings and over-sized windows. The luxe living area has hardwood floors, a TEAC turntable with custom curated vinyl, a Marshall speaker and Deluxe Tivoli, plus a built-in slab wood desk. The bedroom has a sputnik light fixture. The Deluxe One Bedroom Suite also has a Nespresso espresso machine, a gourmet minibar, and a wet bar. With a custom sleeper sofa, the Deluxe One Bedroom Suite can sleep up to four guests comfortably.
Deluxe Two Bedroom Suite
The 915-square-foot Deluxe Two Bedroom Suite includes a master bedroom with a king size bed and sputnik light fixture, a guest bedroom featuring two full-size beds, two bathrooms, plus a living room area. The suite features 9-foot ceilings and over-sized windows. There are hardwood floors throughout, a built-in slab wood desk, a TEAC turntable with custom curated vinyl, a Marshall speaker and Deluxe Tivoli. The 1,215-square-foot Deluxe Three Bedroom Suite is The Roxy Hotel’s most spacious suite with separate living and 3 sleeping areas, 9-foot ceilings and over-sized windows. The Roxy Bar & Lounge
The Roxy Bar & Lounge is located inside the hotel’s soaring 8-story atrium. The classic American menu is available for breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and late night. Signature menu items include the Roxy Burger, house-made Pigs in a Blanket, Roxy Beef Tartare and a selection of East Coast Oysters. On the weekends, the hotel serves up the classic Hotel Brunch with made-to-order omelets and waffles, carving stations, and Live Jazz. The Roxy Bar features hand-crafted classic cocktails and DJ’s. Signature cocktails include Dirty Harry, Beatrice, The Roxy and twists on the classic Julep and Gold Rush.
The Django
Descend into The Django and you’ll feel like you’ve entered another world. The subterranean jazz club, with its vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls, was modeled after the boîtes of Paris. The venue consists of two cocktail bars, open dining space and a stage for live performances or meetings. The Django offers crafted cocktails and small plates, all partnered with a brilliant entertainment lineup.
Roxy Oyster Bar
It’s always low tide with a spritz of salt air at the Roxy Oyster Bar, an intimate raw bar with a musical twist. The menu is a quintessential mélange of East-coast fare, all delivered daily and sourced from local waters such as Narragansett Bay, NJ and Olde Salts, VA. And like any bivalve joint worth its sea salt, the staff shucks everything to order. For those traveling with a larger crew, dive into a three-tiered plateau that promises the freshest of oysters, clams, ceviche, mussels, crab, prawns and lobster. Come on in – this little slice of Cape Cod below Canal is breezy and boozy with beats to boot.
Jack's Coffee
Jack Mazzola started with an idea and ended up with a culture. First, he patented his own coffee making technique (a stir brew method that gives a fuller flavor), then worked on a coffee farm in the Dominican Republic for a month, where he still sources his beans. By the time he opened up his first shop on 10th Street in the West Village, (the first organic, fair trade, shade-grown coffee shop in Manhattan) a line spilled out the door. Many first-time customers became regulars, and not just for the solid coffee – there’s just something about Jack’s laid-back, old soul vibe. The Roxy Hotel is Jack’s seventh location in New York and serves classic and new favorites, plus vegan baked goods. Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee can be found on the ground level of The Roxy Hotel. Patrons can enter via the street on Avenue of the Americas.
