Nine Orchard transforms a Lower East Side landmark into a new elegant hotel and culinary destination with restaurants by Ignacio Mattos. Originally built in 1912, the former Jarmulowsky Bank building has been lovingly restored and reimagined for travelers and locals alike.
Located at the corner of Orchard and Canal Street, the hotel is surrounded by cultural institutions, animated neighborhood streets, and some of the city’s most exciting shops and restaurants, including Mattos’ new Corner Bar, a classic bistro on the hotel’s ground floor. Accommodations
Each guestroom is filled with detail and character, inspired by classic New York residences. All rooms feature large windows and high ceilings, and many rooms feature sweeping city views. No design detail was too small: we looked to simple materials of the highest quality, from the quiet color palette of the walls to the heart pine flooring. When imagining our rooms, we wanted our guests -- whether they’re 25 or 75 -- to feel at home and at ease. We created custom furniture with an established downtown New York furniture maker and sourced vintage pieces in Europe that were durable and functional, and of course, aesthetically pleasing. Every room is outfitted with a custom speaker system that has 4 curated radio stations.
